A new Rs. 2,400-crore mega double-line rail bridge parallel to the historic Rajendra Pul over the Ganga River is now operational. Spanning 15.5 km, the project—whose foundation was laid by PM Narendra Modi in 2016—boosts rail connectivity between north and south Bihar, eases network congestion, and accelerates freight and passenger movement toward Northeast India.
